Yeah, summer does that to ya.

Happy new week everyone! How was your weekend? Mine was terrific with the conference and all. I'm just about getting ready to blog about it. Today should be fun too. I'm off and my friends from Japan and I are driving to the North Shore.

So I brought home my art piece yesterday. It's going to look so great in the new place. But John did see it on Saturday and he really likes it. He likes the charm.

What shall we eat on the island today?

Hi Sarah and slushie!

Slush, the conference was Friday night, Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening. So I was around a little and saw the posts. I just blogged about it so you can read it in my sig. Everyone, feel free to talk about anything I blog there ok?

I have to say that the roast beef at the banquet was soooooo good! I never had roast beef that good before. Of course, the food was all kosher so yeah, it would be good. lol The chicken was da bomb too! John ate A LOT that night. lol

Oh look at the time. I gotta shower. Be back though. Ha.

My friend thinks it had sour cream in it but I don't think so it's kosher. You can't mix meat and dairy in the same dish.

I enjoyed it very much slushie! It was awesome! How was yours?

Well, one of the better resturants on the Island has closed. Sam Choy's Diamond Head shut down last night. There food was good...Although I don't know if all was Kosher.

yeah. At least I can go!

I've gone to several other conferences in the past and I just felt a hunger to experience a conference a wholly different way.

Hi island peeps! It's bit a tad quiet lately. Shhh! lol

Hiya Ray!

Sarah, are they done with the marriage series at your church? I'd really like to know how much they are selling it for. Thanks!

Question of the day...If you won a million dollars, what would you do with it?

If I won a million dollars I buy house big enough for my aunt to live in her ex-husband is pushing to sell the townhouse which she currently lives in and they still own together.

I think a million dollars in hawaii is different than a million dollars here. Isn't a million dollars like an average price for a house there?

I'd buy a small house. My car is new so I'd pay it off. Then I'd take a trip or two. I'd work but it would be more of a hobby.

I believe the Marriage series is still going on. We just had a youth/young adult conferance and we had some really great speakers. I can get a full list of speakers to you later.

I think it all depends on how you use it though. Like if you wanted to donate most of it, buy a house or invest. Investments are pretty much the same. So is donating.

I think if I won a million dollars I would use a good chunk of it for a downpayment on a house (rather than buy a house completely) so to have a small monthly mortgage payment. If G-d gives me a specific desire I would act open that of course. If not, I would go to Israel! I would also use some to "adopt" a child or two from Compassion International. I would then save/invest the rest.

I would pay off our current house, pay off our credit cards, buy two new cars, and buy a house in a different city/state. We would take some vacations. My husband would insist he get some new guns. I guess save some too.

First I'd tithe. Then I'd fill up the gas tank on my truck.

Ha if they made one. I got 32 mpg the last few weeks, I'm happy. Well kind of, used less gas than the SUV but still seems like a lot.
