Well, JO has had a 3 week pass.

I watched him last night and he gave his
"one half verse" in the middle of his monologue.
And naturally it was out of context and reverted
to prosperity, "God wants to bless your socks off"
kind of yuk.

He ought to run for the Democrat nomination, he
would leave Hillary and even Obama in the dust with
his "pie in the sky" rhetoric. This nation would go to
pot, but we would sure feel good about ourselves. LOL.
And we would all be preaching from the Koran since we
all serve the same god that just loves us to death.

1/2 verse from the bible, 1/2 verse from book of Mormon,
1/2 verse from the watchtower, 1/2 verse from the koran,
what difference would it make if that's all we are fed each week?

Can't we all just get along?

Thoughts about him and his "ministry"?

Thanks.

When I flip through the channels and watch him for a bit, he reminds me
of a motivational speaker. He tickles many people's ears.

I came across this quote yesterday. It perfectly fits the theology of JO and others like him:

"You have milky churches that demand milky preachers, preach milky sermons to milky Christians who desire to have their bottles refilled with formula each week that they might nurse themselves back to sleep and satisfy their lactose dependency…. It all comes from this idol of glorying in shallowness… which I’m calling the Milky Way."

ROFL.

I was getting "jealous for him," as Beth Moore, Joyce Meyers, Creflo Dollar, etc.
were getting JO's limelight. lol.

Hated to see the #1 WOF Poster Child slip on the forum.

If you consider teacher another Jesus, not the Jesus of the Bible, a little "suspect", you may want to do a little more research on him

I know the guys in left field when the play is right field. It clear that this guy is false. I'm finding that most of the practice of the modern Christian church is false! LOL

From our Sunday Sabbaths, seeker sensitive churches, Christmas celebrating, Easter celebration, and the list goes on.
This guy gets pub' because he's big and popular and has a lot of money, he's a bigger target.

What we need is a serious reformation to sweep through the church and today prophets need to cry loud and spare none and call the church back to repentance!

Nothing I see surprises me anymore! Whether it's the indiscretions of pastors or leaders, the tv pimping of televangelists or the regular guy pulpit preacher espousing false doctrine or doing something stupid.

I thank God my faith is in Jesus Christ and not in man!!

I guess you now see why we should not "lay off" this guy? Good.

If so called "Christians" need 82 pages of proof that this guy is just a motivational speaker who stubmbled on a bible and is so of theologically he makes Monica of "Touch By An Angel" look like Paul the Apostle then you guys should be ashamed of yourselves for even thinking you believe all that the bible says.

You have nothing against someone who is considered America's Pastor and yet doesn't know anything about the Bible and preaches a false Jesus?

You're a nicer guy than me.

I don't know about all that. Americas Pastor? What? As a person was what I was referring to. I agree with you on the rest.

I don't know about all that.

About preaching a false jesus and a false gospel? There are 82 pages in this thread alone of video, written, audio documentation for your study.

Americas Pastor? What?

That is what Christianity Today, Charisma Magazine, NBC, Larry King, etc all pin him to be.

As a person? I know him personally and have dealt with him on a ministry level (my mother in law is a global Word of Faith star... ironic, I know) as an individual he is EXTREMELY nice and a very easy going guy.

But the same can be said about the Jehovah's Witness elder that lives across the street from me. Doesn't mean he is preaching God's Word.

HA!
Who gave him that title? I doubt I will be seeing him in the next life. America's Pastor, indeed!
All we need is Jesus and each other. These 'leaders' are distractions.

My blog on the subject....

Quinch that thirst America...

by: John "Christian" Doe

I was reading a recent article about the increasing secularization of American society and the falling Protestant majority. I would love to say I am surprised, but I am not. I see secularization of America happening everyday. In every facet of TV, video games, political correctness, down playing of the religious influence of holidays, politics, work places and endless examples showing the degradation of our religious values of our country.

We are falling into this Joel Osteen, Tony Robins self-important, feel good now lives, which I don't have a problem with completely, but we are forgetting the reason we are here on earth. We are not here to please every, need, want, and wish for our lives, but as my Pastor Mark Miller said in a recent blog, we "were bought with a price and do not belong to ourselves." God is able and he will provide what you need, and not always what you want.

Now on TV, Internet, Radio and books we hear of ways to fulfill the void in our lives. Those mediums tell us happiness is just a product, happy thought or purchase away. We have all fallen into these traps, I know for a long time I did. In John 6:35 the bible states:

"Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty."

and in Isaiah 56:11

"They are dogs with mighty appetites;they never have enough. They are shepherds who lack understanding; they all turn to their own way, each seeks his own gain."

We as a nation need to realize that the way to our true happiness is not through, product enhanced, self-centered ways that make us feel better temporarily, but through our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus suffered and died for our sins and then rose from the dead so that we may have eternal life, so why would we not dedicate our lives to him and turn to him in our time of need?

Remember, the Lord is able and he has declared, "he who believes in me will never be thirsty." I have taken my drink, and I am happy to say, I will never thirst again. Thank you Lord.

With as much gentleness and respect (1 Peter 3:15) as possible... some days it is easier than others. But to make things even more comical, I join her in some of her trips with the WoF all-stars. God does indeed have a sense of humor.
