One of my dearest friends lost her mother. She is down on the ice and will not be able to get off till several months. Her mother was all she had and their relationship was amazing. She is so torn up and broken. Please pray for her.
She is not walking with the Lord and no longer believes Jesus is any more then a good man. Please pray he will make himself so real to her during this time as he gives her strength to deal with her grief and pain alone.
Please pray God brings someone, down on the ice, to come along side my friend and be God's shoulder for her to cry on and to speak truth/healing/ and life to her.

I can't take it any more.
I've avoided posting this for as long as I can, but the time has come.
Since the fall of 2001 my life has fluctuated between appalling and ghastly with occasional dips into horrific. Now I'm on the verge of moving for the fourth time in just over six years; I don't have the time or facilities to do anything that matters to me; I can't find a minute to find a little peace and quiet; I'm struggling to get enough sleep; I'm totally unmotivated.
I don't know what to do. It seems that God is taking away everything I enjoy, everything that offers any hope that tomorrow will be slightly less awful than today. God seems to want me miserable. I don't know why, but I know that I can't take it any more. It seems that every day God invents some new way to make me tear out what's left of my hair.
I don't know what to ask your prayers for right now. On good days I feel like beating my head against a wall. Today isn't a good day.
I don't know why God hates me.

Edwin don't worry about having to tell us what to pray........the Holy Spirit will.........please know that I am praying for you......
Dear Lord
I think of the fires burning in CA...........I think of how dry the land is and how it only takes a small spark to create a fire which burns with raging destruction.......
Lord I think of the aftermath of such fires.......especially where humans have not tampered with how you designed things to work........how those fires, though hot and fierce, open up new life, new birth in the mountains and woods.......
Lord I don't know if the fires Edwin is facing in his life are by your nature or by the land being so dry for lack of water........because deep down he is thirsty for more of you........but I do know Lord no matter the cause of the fire....they give birth to new growth.......new hopes......new dreams.
Lord I pray you begin to birth these things in Edwin's life.....Lord please pour water on parts of the fire and show him a glimps of what you are doing........what you are giving new birth too.......please Father show him a small sampling of what will grow out of he fires currently burning in his life.
Thank you Lord that it is often the hottest, most fierce fires which produce the most beautiful aftermath........
Lord give him patience to be still and wait for what to see what you are doing.
Lord if the fires are from him being in the desert........in a dry dusty place in his life I pray you will cover him with your refreshing water.......I pray you will make him so thirsty he turns to your life giving water more and more each day........
Lord please guide him.....show him the direction he is to go and please Lord give him hope.......hope in the future........hope in your promises.......and hope in your plans for him........

(((((Edwin))))) My heart goes out to you! God does not hate you... but satan does want to see you discouraged. I once heard that was his "most used" tool. I will be praying you have the strength to fight off his attacks and that Christ will stand in the gap for you.

Praying Edwin.
Hang in there brother. Remember Job. He went through hell on earth but stuck close to God and God restored him. Weather the storm and become stronger because of it. The clouds will roll away and Jesus will show up in all his glory.

Dear Lord....I just pray that You would wrap Your loving arms around Edwin right this very moment!! Give him just a glimpse of the hope and blessings that You have in store for him. Help him to remember what it is to feel Your peace...and as You plant that seed in his heart...give him a spirit that longs to grow in that. Use Your Holy Spirit to just fill him up....to plug all those gaping holes in his heart. Give him a desire to search Your Word for comfort and reassurance, Lord.
And Lord, I just praise You that Edwin trusts all of us here to share his pain. Let him rest in us, Lord...as we cover him in prayer and lift his wounded heart up to Your. For we know that You are mightier than anything Satan can throw at him. We call on Your promises, that You will be near Edwin in his time of pain and despair....and will deliver him through this valley. Fill Edwin with Your strength, Lord. Help him to stand up today and declare victory in You!!!
We thank You, in advace, Father, for bringing Edwin through his struggles and his doubts. And even if none of us understands why Edwin is suffering at this time...we can only pray that somehow You are glorfied through it. All these things we pray...in Jesus' name....amen.

Edwin,
I know where you are. I've been there. God will bring you through. May God give you strength, allow you to see His purpose, and hold you in His arms as you walk through this difficult time.
My prayer request of the day:
Last night my dearest, oldest friend came over to borrow my dinosaur TI-82 calculator to take his ARE exam on Wednesday. We've been friends since we were 13. He came home to visit and came out of the closet in 2002. I'd been in love with him since we met and so it was very hard for me to let go of it, but over the years, I have.
We were inseparable for so long. While we were never officially "together," we were always together, holding hands at the movies, talking almost every day by phone or email...
Last night him being in my home where we spent so many evenings just hanging out, being together, brought back all those memories and feelings.
Please pray that God will speak to David's heart and that he will be saved and turn from this "lifestyle choice" for lack of a better name. He is an amazingly wonderful, loving, intelligent man and I will never stop loving him. He desperately needs to be delivered from this and I won't be able to do it. It will take someone else, from the outside, to speak to him. Please pray that he'll listen to God's calling.

Praying for all the needs requested here. And praising God with Nadine for the good news.
I do have an urgent request. If you all remember me telling you about my grandma who asked to go to church with me this last weekend...well, I was having dinner with her tonight and she had a pretty severe stroke. She was so alert and speaking clearly one moment and then it was like a switch went off. And the doctor can't do anything to shrink the clots because of all the damage to her brain. He said it would almost kill her instantly. So now all we can do is wait. He said the next 24 hours are very critical. My heart is so torn up. I know she wants to die. She's been saying it for a while now. But I don't want her to go until I know she's turned her heart over to Christ. I'm begging God to please not let her go until that is for certain.
I would much appreciate your prayers.

Thank you all so much for your prayers and the encouragement I received. I have to say that when I went to the hospital this evening I about tripped over my jaw. My dad had just gotten here from downstate about 20-30 minutes before I got there and when I walked in my grandma was sitting up and talking clear as day to him and my step mom. I kept telling my dad that I wasn't exaggerating when I called him last night. It was a very grim outlook. The doctor even told us that even IF she pulled through she would probably not get her speach back or have any usage on her right side. Well....tonight she was chatting away and using her hands to open those small little wrapped mints pretty well. Wow!!!! I am so amazed. A little bit later my aunt and uncle just got here and when they walked in the room and looked at her my uncle said that sure wasn't the story he heard last night when we called him. I told him the story has obviously changed.
Anyway....I kept thinking I need to take this as an opportunity to tell my grandma that I had begged God to not let her go until I knew she was ready. There were just too many people coming and going and I didn't get the opportunity but I am praying that now that her mind is clear again that God would speak to her heart and draw her closer to Him. And I'm praying she and I will have an opportunity to talk about it.
Thanks again for the prayers. I would like to just ask if you could to pray that I have the opportunity to have a good heart to heart talk and that I would have the wisdom to know what to say and also what not to say.
