I was reading in another thread about someone who has decided to pray for us (in a nice way), and I thought [sm=icon_smile_idea.gif], why don't we pray for each other? If you would like to pray or be prayed for please list a request, which can be updated/added to as needed.

Right now, the main thing I need is direction. I have been praying about tons of stuff (including a man who wants to marry me) and I really just need some answers.

Well, I guess mine right now is split between healing over a hurt caused by an unhealthy relationship and healing my insecurities and fear of men.

Will be praying for all of you.

Oh Sunshine.......I so know what you mean about the fear of men. The biggest problem with that fear is that it has evolved into an unhealthy fear of God and lack of trust.

I guess that would be my prayer request, to be able to work through that. I have not, however, gotten up the nerve to pray about it yet....[sm=popsigh.gif]

Hey, sj...it's amazing how that happens. People have often suggested explanations for this fear, but I don't agree. We'll get thru it together [:D]

Father, I pray for the singles on this thread who are needing their hearts to be healed by you Lord. I pray You would wrap Your arms around them and comfort them. Help them make wise choiced that glorify You. Amen

My prayer request would be for me and my feelings towards a friend of mine. I desire to just be friends but my heart desires so much more.

My prayer request for right now, this minute is protection against spiritual warfare!
I minister at the jail tommorrow and the enemy is handing me th same ol' lie
about single women not good enough for ministry. I'm feeling "vulnerable"
right now!

Jenn - I totally understand where you're coming from on that one! I just said a prayer for you on that one.

Rebecca - I just said a prayer for you too... I used to lead Bible studies at a "halfway house" of sorts for juveniles who were just a step away from jail. I know how overwhelming it can feel, but God will definitely provide all you need to say and do! I know that from firsthand experience.

I need prayer about my crush... That's all I'm gonna say at the moment. [:)]

I had that conversation with someone just over an hour ago. His daughter and I are both single missionaries. You are right- it's a LIE... and I am sorry you are going through it. (and a good cry helps too[;)]

I won't be checking in real often, but I will be reading and praying ;)

If ya'll wanna pray for me, I need to make some BIG future decisions...
and walk away from a 'friend' (there's a thread in he says)... which scares me cuz I don't have many right now...)

While I have posted my goals elsewhere, I think the general theme that God wants me to focus on for this year is this:

Accept and learn to pamper myself...
God has told me that my heart will experience true love...something I haven't experienced for awhile now.
Enjoy his blessings but be mindful of new responsibilites...

So yes, these would be my main prayers.

I have a gamut of major prayer requests. The biggest being my desire to know/learn spiritual discernment.

But to nail it down to something rich at hand....my apartment lease. This lies before me and has a deadline for a decision on my part. I know it sounds a little less critical. But signing this lease will symbolize a greater move God may or may not want me to make....for specific reasons that are close to my heart.

So I hope my answer to renewing or not renewing my lease is His answer and NOT mine....I really really do.

A permanent job (not just through a temp agency) where there is room to grow and utilize my strengths and talents; restoration for broken relationships; the salvation of my parents before they pass on.

I used to say, with the bravado of youth, that there were only two things in life that scared me. Women and cops.

It would have resulted in many "yes ma'ams". Only thing is, I generally get tongue tied around women I don't know really well so it would have come out something like "yeethxwt mueauchm" and she'd have taken me to detox just on suspicion.

How old are you? I must have at least a dozen years on you. My experience was that between 20 and 30 there wasn't much change, but from 30 to 40, lookout. And to the OP, I'm sorry, I'll stop hijacking the thread.

I could not have said it better. I want to move out this summer and I have to get serious and save, save, save. I am praying about whether to get a roomate or try it on my own.
