i work at a movie theater and get to usually see all of the movies a day or two ahead of time and this is pretty slick because most of my friends want to know if the movie is good or a waist of money. so i figured i would share my knowledge with all of you. i know that all people do have different tastes in movies, but im going to share you all with mine and maybe it will help you decide if you would like to see it or not.
shutter island was an amazing movie, it is one of those movies that keeps you thinking though, it is full of suspense and some language. also there is a brief scene of nudity. but if your worried about taking your son to watch it, it is male nudity. i would recommend this movie to anyone who like a action, thinking movie. this movie is about 2nahalf hours long so if you dont want to sit in a movie for that long i recommend you prob not go and see it then, cuz you will probably just get distracted and miss what goes on in the movie.

Thanks for your opinion on the movie. It looks like a great story line but I am hesitant to see it because of the language and I hear it is pretty gruesome in parts. This is the kind of movie I wish was edited so those of us that want a good story could see it without the objectionable content.

yes, there are some "intense" parts in this movie, im trying to think if there is alot of gore or things of such nature but i cant think of any major ones....though some sceans can be super disturbing. also there is alot of language in the movie, i am however going to watch it again cuz there is so much i need to figure out with the movie. but i deff understand with what your saying ....the language is deff not necessary.

We really enjoyed this movie. It's very Alfred Hitchcock like. Loads of twists.
I thought the gore was well handled... more dream like than gory. Also, the cussing was mostly just at one point in the movie.... not in almost every sentence like many movies.
Very interesting ending, too.

I was very disapointed with this movie..I guessed the ending within the first 20 minutes of watching this..Decaprio was good though
